“Ultra,” a new podcast series by duPont Winner Rachel Maddow and MSNBC

duPont-Columbia Award winner Rachel Maddow and MSNBC have released a new podcast series, “Rachel Maddow Presents: Ultra”.  From rural militias to Nazi propaganda, “Ultra” is an investigative look at the spread of right-wing extremism in the United States and historical threats to U.S. democracy - as well as the journalists who have worked to expose them.

“The historical resonance is worthy because something rhymes so much with what we’re going through now,” said Maddow in an interview with Vanity Fair. “In other cases, it’s worth remembering, like, Oh, wow, people have faced worse.”

Maddow and MSNBC previously won a 2020 duPont Award for “Bag Man,” a seven-part podcast that revisited the investigation, prosecution, and resignation of Spiro Agnew, vice president to Richard Nixon.

You can read more about Ultra, and look through accompanying archival documents and images, here. And you can listen to the first four episodes wherever you find your podcasts.
