Welcome 2021-2022 duPont Fellows

We are excited to announce our 2021-2022 duPont Columbia Award Fellows. Jaden Edison, Emily Russell, and Evan Solis will join us as Fellows from Columbia Journalism School, where they are pursuing their master’s degrees:

Jaden Edison is a student in the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism with a focus on covering vulnerable communities. Previously, he interned with the Poynter Institute.

Emily Russell is a student at Columbia Journalism School focused on covering social issues and the hospitality industry. Prior to embarking on her master’s degree, Emily worked in video and podcast production in Washington, D.C.

 

Evan Solis specializes in documentary filmmaking at Columbia Journalism School and is currently co-directing a documentary that follows a migrant mother and son taking sanctuary in Austin, Texas.

 

The Fellows sit in on the duPont judging sessions, interact with the winners, provide administrative support for the duPont Awards selection process, aid in event planning, work on media projects, and help prepare for the January 2022 awards ceremony. Welcome, Fellows!
