Welcome 2022-2023 duPont Fellows

We are pleased to announce our 2022-2023 duPont Columbia Award Fellows. Jiayu Liang and Lue Boileau join us as Fellows from the Columbia Journalism School as they pursue their graduate studies.

Jiayu Liang is a full time master’s student at Columbia Journalism School’s Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism. Her interests include audio, environmental reporting, and science writing. Previously, she was a communications officer at the science advocacy nonprofit Union of Concerned Scientists. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

Lue Boileau is a full-time master’s student at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, receiving particular training in visual media. Lue is pursuing a lifetime of work in climate reporting, and long form investigative writing. Prior to enrolling at Columbia, Lue was working as a writer and editor of literary work in Toronto, Canada. They graduated from the University of Ottawa.

The duPont Fellows have a passion for audio and video journalism. In their role, they sit in on the duPont Awards judging process, correspond with awardees, assist with duPont’s On Assignment Podcast, and administrative tasks, as well as prepare for the duPont Awards Ceremony in February 2023. Welcome, Fellows!
